Criminal Justice Adjunct Instructor

Teach Courses in Criminal Justice

Teach courses based on instructor’s qualifications.
Adjunct instructor positions are part‑time. Teaching assignments will vary from semester to semester and are based on enrollment. Therefore, there may be semesters where no assignments are available.

• Evaluate and grade students’ class work, assignments and papers.
• Prepare and deliver instructional materials (syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts) in person and/or online.
• Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions.
• Compile, administer, and grade examinations.
• Participate in required reporting processes (grades, participation, etc.).
• Assist students in connecting to college resources.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Criminal Justice or Juris Doctor and licensed member of the bar.
• Or bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in criminal justice.
• Or bachelor’s degree, employed for the equivalent of 2 years in a position directly involved with the custody, care and control of incarcerated felons or misdemeanants, probationary felons or misdemeanants, paroled felons and incarcerated juvenile offenders.
