Overview
Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Maintenance & Toolroom Supervisor. This position will be located at our Jackson, MI facility. Relocation benefits will be provided within the United States only. The Maintenance & Toolroom Supervisor is responsible for maintenance and improvement of the site infrastructure of the Eaton Aerospace Group. The expected annual salary range for this role is $97,000 - $143,000 a year.
Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
- Ensure the infrastructure of the site meets safety, environmental, and accessibility standards and regulations including Eaton, local, state, and federal requirements.
- Maintain and administer the site’s maintenance software system. Ensure planned and unplanned maintenance events are properly documented.
- Supervise and manage the hourly tool room and maintenance team. Ensure work is executed safely and economically.
- Update tool room and maintenance department operational metric charts and develop improvement plans based on that data.
- Manage building and site subsystems including pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, roof, grounds, parking lots, outbuildings, waste streams, fire suppression system, wastewater system, etc.
- Manage infrastructure operating and project budgets up to $10M/year.
- Coordinate sub-contract services for site infrastructure, including quoting, supervising project execution, and payment.
- Effectively use EBS processes to manage site infrastructure – MESH, Pro Launch, Profit Plan, EBS Pull, Cost-Out, Op-A.
- Procure parts needed to maintain equipment and facility infrastructure.
- Establish and manage weekly overtime schedule for the tool room and the maintenance team.
- Develop quarterly training plan for the tool room and the maintenance team.
- Develop standards, procedures, training as necessary.
- Effectively communicate plans, procedural changes, training, and other facilities information to all levels of the organization.
Required (Basic)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or currently enrolled with an anticipated graduation date of no later than December 2026 from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of five (5) years professional experience in operations, engineering, construction, facilities/maintenance or other related field.
- Must be able to obtain Michigan Electrical Contractor License within six (6) months of being placed in position.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
- This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited institution.
- Experience in a facilities/maintenance role in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
- Experience with construction standards and building code.
- Experience with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Experience working with Local and State officials to obtain permits.
- Experience working with sub-contractors (quoting process, supervising work).
- Experience with hazardous waste regulations (HAZWOPER).
- General contractors license or other construction licenses.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and balance multiple objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to create project proposals and plans to secure funding.
- Limited travel may be required.
- Opportunity to gain exposure to and work with many functional teams.
- May be assigned day-to-day direction of Maintenance resources for facilities project/activity prioritization.
