we are seeking a permit & interconnection coordinator to be responsible for the direct application and tracking of permits and utility interconnections for solar projects. This role is crucial for ensuring projects adhere to all regulatory requirements and timelines through diligent management and organization of permitting processes.
salarythe salary range for this role is $52,000.00 to $58,000.00 usd, salary commensurate with experience. An annual bonus representing 3% of your annual base salary/annual wages is paid based on meeting both organizational and individual targets.
major responsibilities of position- directly apply for all necessary permits and manage interconnection requests with utilities for solar projects.
- track and monitor the status of all permit and interconnection applications, ensuring timely updates and progression.
- develop and maintain a detailed database of utilities and authorities having jurisdiction (ahj), including specific requirements, processing times, and contact information.
- work closely with project managers and engineering teams to gather all necessary documentation for permit and interconnection applications.
- regularly communicate with local, state, and federal agencies to expedite permit approvals and address any issues.
- analyze and report on trends in permit and interconnection processing times to aid in project planning and timelines.
- ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies through detailed knowledge of current regulations and standards.
- prepare regular reports on permit and interconnection statuses for project stakeholders.
- assist in developing strategies to streamline the permitting and interconnection processes.

- independent worker with the ability to drive processes forward.
- associate’s degree in related discipline, required.
Note:
two years of directly related experience may substitute for 1 year of university degree. - two years’ direct related experience, required
- valid state driver’s license, required
- safety certification, i.e., osha 10, etc., preferred.
- knowledge of solar systems, preferred.
- office environment 100% of the time: busy office with frequent interruptions and multi-tasking required; standard office equipment is available including microsoft office
- day travel up to 50% for local errands. Transportations costs are covered for travel.
harvest solar employees are eligible for the following benefits programs:
the first of the month after the date of hire- health insurance. The premiums are a shared expense with 80% covered by harvest solar and 20% covered by the associate via a weekly payroll deduction.
