GIS Systems Analyst II

This is a contract role through Magnit for Consumers Energy in Jackson, Michigan.

*** This position will be onsite Monday through Thursday with Friday optional remote. The location can be at any of our service centers in Michigan***

• Enterprise GIS administration:
  Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and related components.
• Spatial data management:
  Maintain utility asset datasets, perform QA/QC, and enforce data governance and metadata standards.
• System integration support:
  Assist with integrations between GIS and OMS, CIS, EAM/CMMS, SCADA, and mobile workforce systems.
• Application and map development:
  Build and maintain web maps, dashboards, mobile data‑collection tools, and custom GIS applications.
• Automation and scripting:
  Use Python, SQL, and FME to streamline workflows, improve data quality, and support system automation.
• User support and training:
  Provide Tier 2/3 support, create documentation, and train field and office staff.
• Project collaboration:
  Work with cross‑functional teams to define requirements and deliver GIS‑enabled solutions.
• System monitoring and maintenance:
  Oversee system performance, updates, patches, and availability of GIS services.

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field — or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience working with the ArcGIS suite of technologies in an enterprise environment.
• Advanced proficiency with Esri tools including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, and enterprise geodatabases.
• Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, SQL, and FME.
• Experience supporting enterprise systems and working within structured IT environments.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience with APIs and web services for system integrations.

• Utilities industry experience (electric, water, wastewater, or gas).
• Familiarity with Esri Utility Network or legacy Geometric Network models.
• Experience with mobile GIS tools such as Field Maps, Survey
  123, or Workforce.
• Knowledge of cloud or virtualized environments such as Azure, AWS, or VMware.

• The pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position is: $53.57 - $71.43/hour.
