Job Summary
Join a large utility's Grid Management team in Jackson, Michigan as an Engineering Analyst to champion data integrity and reliability metrics. In this vital role, you will analyze outage events and correct operational data to directly support SAIDI and LVD Operations. You will also participate in control room training and provide essential support during critical storm and emergency events.
To qualify, candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program. You should possess strong critical‑thinking skills and the ability to interpret complex technical prints, schematics, and maps. Additionally, the role requires effective communication skills and the resilience to remain calm and focused during high‑stress, fast‑paced emergency operations.

- Analyze outage events and perform OMS data quality corrections to ensure accurate reporting.
- Identify and correct data discrepancies impacting restoration analysis and reliability metrics like SAIDI.
- Maintain high standards of data integrity and operational awareness for LVD Operations.
- Participate in dispatch and control room training covering substations, grid automation, and storm operations.
- Provide critical operational support, including required overtime and travel, during storms and emergencies.
