Job Summary
Join the utility and energy sector in Michigan as a contract CAD Designer. In this role, you will be responsible for updating engineering drawings with post‑construction redlines to ensure accurate final documentation. Your primary focus will be transforming field changes and engineer markups into finalized, high‑quality record drawings.
To qualify, candidates must possess 5+ years of advanced CAD design experience with demonstrated proficiency in Bentley Systems Micro Station. Candidates must have a proven track record of interpreting engineering markups and incorporating redlines into official as‑built documents. An associate's degree or drafting certification is preferred, along with excellent attention to detail and strong file‑management skills.

Responsibilities- Update and revise engineering drawings using Bentley Micro Station based on post‑construction redlines and field notes.
- Convert redlined drawings into highly accurate record and as‑built documents.
- Coordinate directly with engineers, project managers, and field teams to resolve any drawing discrepancies.
- Maintain strict consistency across drawing sets regarding layers, symbology, annotation, and formatting.
- Perform comprehensive quality checks (QA/QC) on updated drawings to guarantee accuracy and completeness.
- Organize, version‑control, and archive drawing files according to established document control standards.
