Financial Analyst

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Financial Analyst. This position will be located at our Jackson, MI facility.

The position serves as the Financial Analyst for the Jackson, MI manufacturing plant within the Aerospace Group's Fluid & Electrical Distribution Division. It is responsible for performing all accounting functions, financial reporting, and analysis for the Jackson, MI ledgers, and supports the government accounting and reporting requirements. The role includes month‑end closing, forecasting, variance analysis, commentary, and leading profit planning activities.

It also provides accurate, timely advice and guidance to the Jackson, MI management team, including departmental budget analysis, inventory reporting, and cost analysis.

Salary: $71,000 - $105,000 per year (salary is a general guideline and may vary based on experience).

• Perform sales and margin reporting.
• Perform financial planning and analysis activities (forecasting, annual profit plan, etc.).
• Troubleshoot existing accounting systems to correct errors and prevent recurrence.
• Support development of new procedures and process improvements to enhance financial control and reporting.
• Support month‑end analysis.
• Assist in preparation of monthly forecasts.
• Support annual profit planning activities.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements.
• Measure, analyze, and explain variances and provide commentary.
• Assist in maintaining an accurate standard and current cost system.
• Conduct physical inventory per Eaton Financial Policy.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in an accounting or finance role, inclusive of internships.
• Applicant must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
• No relocation benefit; candidate must reside within 50‑mile radius of Jackson, MI (Active‑Duty Military Service members are exempt).

• Master’s degree in Business Administration from an accredited institution.
• CPA and/or CMA certification.
• Experience with in the manufacturing and/or Aerospace industry.
• Previous audit, internal controls, or SOX experience.
• Oracle or other ERP experience with advanced Microsoft skills.
• Government Accounting and Reporting experience.
