The Behavioral Services Therapist provides evidence-based care in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness and substance use disorders within an interdisciplinary team. Also provides individual, conjoint, group and family psychotherapy; in addition to crisis intervention services, as needed. Ensures that the quality of care is safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
- Master's (or Doctoral) degree in counseling from a national or regionally-accredited institute of higher education, including an internship and coursework on human behavior and development, effective counseling strategies, ethical practice and pertinent core knowledge areas and experience
- Completion of a minimum of 3000 hours of post-master's degree supervised clinical experienced performed within two years
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES
