Azure Engineer

Overview

This position requires a qualified Azure Engineer with at least 7 years of experience in the following areas:

• Implementation of a landing zone architecture through Terraform to manage and administer the Microsoft Azure cloud environment, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance and security.
• Analyze existing operational standards, processes, and governance to identify and implement improvements.
• Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) leveraging Terraform to ensure automated and consistent platform deployments.
• Deploy IaC utilizing Azure Dev Ops pipelines.
• Manage security and access controls of cloud-based solutions.
• Automate processes and infrastructure lifecycle management.

Microsoft Azure experience involving design, deployment, configuration, and optimization. Experience deploying IaC with Azure Dev Ops.

• Experience deploying IaC with Terraform.
• Proficient with Git to perform source code management.
• Enthusiastic learner with the ability to teach and mentor teammates and cross-functional partners.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with keen attention to detail.

• Strong foundational knowledge of the Cloud Adoption Framework for Azure.
• Demonstrate understanding of security concepts including governance and access control.
• Basic understanding of Azure Active Directory and integration with on-premises systems.
• Network CIDR block and IP address planning as well as vnet gateway for transit routing.
• Monitoring and logging of Azure platform using cloud-native services.
