Jackson, Michigan – Geographic Information System Analyst #1058813
Duties- Write programs and develop user interfaces, menus and application workflows to support GIS application migration and evolving user needs.
- Configure, refactor, and migrate GIS web applications (including Web Experience Builder) to support platform transitions. Perform complex spatial analyses and produce application outputs and reports according to business and operational requirements.
- Assist in the development of GIS applications and systems that create, maintain, or leverage geospatial basemap information.
- Conduct GIS program activities, utilizing GIS hardware and software to support application development, testing, and deployment.
- Create, adjust, correct, convert and distribute base maps and thematic data in support of migrated applications.
- Maintain and update spatial databases required for application functionality and data integrity.
- Document application configurations, procedures, and migration outcomes; validate data for accuracy and completeness, and maintain required metadata.
- Evaluate information and data from internal and external sources to ensure suitability for use in migrated GIS applications.
- Act as a "technical consultant" to internal customers during application migration, configuration, testing, and quality validation efforts.
- Experience in ArcGIS Online and Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, Python
