Optomi, in partnership with a leading energy company, is seeking a Manager of Data Quality and Governance to join their Applications & Analytics organization.
Position SummaryThe Manager, Digital is a player-coach leadership role responsible for leading technical teams while remaining actively involved in the design and delivery of enterprise digital solutions. This individual will establish technical standards, mentor engineers, and help build scalable, secure, and governed data platforms. The ideal candidate combines strong leadership with expertise in enterprise data governance, modern engineering practices, and Agile delivery.

- Familiarity with Agile, Lean, and modern software engineering practices
- Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Architecture, Security, and business teams
- Strong coaching, mentoring, communication, and organizational leadership skills
- Bonus:
Experience with in regulated industries such as utilities, energy, healthcare, or financial services, including familiarity with compliance frameworks such as NERC CIP, FERC, SOX, or HIPAA
- Provide hands-on technical leadership while guiding enterprise digital and data initiatives
- Develop technical roadmaps, standards, and best practices across engineering and analytics teams
- Mentor, coach, and develop technical talent while fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Lead enterprise data governance efforts, including data ownership, stewardship, quality, metadata, and lifecycle management
- Drive Agile and Lean delivery practices to improve quality, consistency, and team effectiveness
- Partner with Product, Architecture, Security, Delivery, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable digital solutions
- Establish governance policies, data standards, and operational processes to improve data reliability and business adoption
- Promote innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence across the organization
- Support complex technical initiatives while ensuring alignment between business objectives and technology strategy
