Job Summary

Large utility is looking for a Planner in Jackson, MI. This role requires a Bachelor's degree and two to five years of experience in managing inventory and logistics to ensure cost-effective material flow, utilizing analytical and problem‑solving skills to optimize supply chain processes and mitigate delivery emergencies. This is a contract position estimated to last 12 months, possible extension, possible temp to perm.

• Ensure company materials and supplies are received quickly, efficiently, and within budget.
• Monitor and manage company inventory levels.
• Track and evaluate the performance of current supply chain methods.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Recommend strategic changes to warehouse locations, suppliers, or transportation methods.
• Resolve supply emergencies, such as sudden demand spikes or material shortages, to meet deadlines.

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or operations.
• Possess two to five years of direct experience in the supply chain field.
• Maintain or pursue industry certifications like APICS CPIM or CSCP.
• A master's degree in business administration may be helpful, especially if the applicant hopes to rise to a senior level in the company.
