Accounting Manager

Job Description

Salary: $61,000 to $80,000 per year

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Accounting Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will oversee the accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial reporting. You will lead a small team of A/R and A/P staff and work closely with the CEO and President to deliver financial information needed to support their financial insights and to support business decisions.

• Financial Oversight: Overview of the various accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Month-End & Year-End Close: Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
• Compliance & Auditing: Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and company policies. Coordinate with company CPA as needed.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance financial efficiency.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
• Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with CEO, President, senior management, and external CPA on financial matters.

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and Financial Reporting.
• Strong Knowledge and Experience with Quick Books online and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational abilities.
