Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $ USD
Annual Bonus Target: 5% of annual base salary based on performance
Purpose of PositionUnder the direction of the Director of Project Management and in compliance with the employee handbook and applicable laws, the Solar Project Manager will oversee multiple commercial photovoltaic projects, including supervision of the installation workforce to meet schedules, maintain safety, and provide leadership for installation personnel. Support problem solving, continuous improvement, and financial feedback as required by VP of Operations.
Major Responsibilities- Lead by example in safety, quality, productivity, cost reduction, and customer satisfaction.
- Enforce company rules and regulations, taking disciplinary action and coordinating with HR.
- Instruct employees to install safely while meeting quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area and job site.
- Coordinate all subcontractors, electrical, surveyors, concrete, labor and inspectors.
- Assist in scheduling workforce and projects.
- Ensure employees are properly trained for quality solar installations.
- Ensure necessary materials are on hand.
- Document accidents and file required reports.
- Assist in hiring/staffing employees.
- Evaluate job packets for cost savings and process improvements.
- Ensure customer and internal quality standards are met.
- Promote good supplier and customer relationships.
- Work with purchasing for timely ordering and inventory.
- Initiate continuous improvement with team.
- Act as key contact for customer or supplier issues on site.
- Schedule and perform routine maintenance on company equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Organize multitask assignments accurately and timely.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL) required.
- Full upper/lower body mobility; ability to stoop, kneel, squat, etc.
- Professional appearance and excellent customer service.
Valid State Driver’s License required; CDL certification preferred. Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related discipline required; 2 years directly related experience may substitute for 1 year of university degree. 3‑5 years Project Management experience required; experience with utility scale projects of 5 MW+ or large commercial/industrial projects preferred. AC/DC electrical installation experience preferred. MIOSHA 30 Certification required. Training assistance available.
WorkEnvironment
- Office 50% of the time, multitasking and frequent interruptions.
- Day travel 50% of the time.
- Night travel 25% of the time.
