Program Manager - I, FED (Aerospace)

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Program Manager – I, FED (Aerospace) in Middlesex NC or Jackson MI. Relocation assistance is provided to eligible candidates.

Expected annual salary range: $97,000 – $143,000
. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you’ll do
  • Responsible for the successful execution of NPI/STP Program(s) and/or critical business/problem resolution projects and their budget allocation.
  • Lead Integrated Product Team(s) to drive customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, and life‑of‑the‑program financial performance by managing customer programs, contracts, and business relationships.
  • Manage the Profit and Loss of New Product Introduction (NPI) and Standard Transition Projects (STP) and New Product Development (NPD) Program(s).
  • Execute Integrated Product Team (IPT) leadership across the Program, seeking team input to promote rapid resolution of issues.
  • Establish objectives and goals, providing direction to program and project teams on customer concerns, potential scope changes, and risk assessment.
  • Manage effective customer communications, serving as overall program interface and improving organization responsiveness to customer requirements.
  • Ensure standard program management processes are utilized and provide adequate support to teams by coordinating program management reviews, publishing metrics, and reports.
  • Maintain performance metrics for program earned value, quality, technical performance, and delivery through all Eaton phase gates (PROLaunch) NPI/STP.
  • Effectively manage program risks, leading IPT teams to define risks and proactively identify mitigation actions.
  • Manage customer contract, pricing, terms and conditions, and contractual flow‑down through the organization; develop contract negotiation strategies.
  • Provide monthly program updates on contractual milestones and problem/high‑risk areas, delivering updates to business units, divisional, and group levels.
  • Play a key role in developing new business proposals and executing the overall program plan.
  • Coordinate and monitor One Eaton Aerospace program personnel across multiple sites.
Qualifications Required (Basic)
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • 3 years of project management or product development experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
  • All positions require use of information or hardware subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations. All applicants must be U.S. Persons within the meaning of ITAR.
Preferred (Optional)
  • 5 or more years of project management or product development experience.
  • 1 or more years of experience in the aerospace industry.
Skills and Position Criteria
  • Travel:
    Up to 10%.
  • Strong leadership driving team engagement, actions, and results.
  • Customer management experience including accountability for scope change.
  • Financial project management – recurring cost, scope, non‑recurring cost, project budgets.
  • Experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) and/or product/process transition (STP) programs/projects.
  • Proven leadership skills – capability to lead change in an Integrated Team (IPT) environment across multiple sites and customers globally.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – verbal and written, with ability to make status reports and technical presentations to management and customers.
  • Experience in risk management.
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
  • Financial experience managing Profit & Loss, ATD, EAC, Gross Margin, NPV & IRR.
  • Broad knowledge of aerospace or other manufacturing industries.
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) accreditation (PMP).
