Program Manager – I, FED (Aerospace)
Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Program Manager – I, FED (Aerospace) in Middlesex, NC or Jackson, MI. Relocation assistance is provided to eligible candidates.
Expected annual salary range is $97,000 – $143,000 a year. This figure is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What You’ll DoThe Program Manager – I, FED (Aerospace) is responsible for the successful execution of NPI/STP Program(s) and/or critical business/problem resolution projects and their budget allocation. This role will lead the Integrated Product Team(s) to drive customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, and life‑of‑the‑program financial performance by managing customer programs, contracts, and business relationships.
Responsibilities- Manage the Profit and Loss of New Product Introduction (NPI) and Standard Transition Projects (STP), and New Product Development (NPD) Program(s). Provide responsibility, authority, and accountability for every project scope delivery and successful execution within technical, schedule, budget, cost, and quality commitments.
- Execute Integrated Product Team (IPT) leadership across the program. Seek team input to promote rapid resolution of issues. Coach and provide feedback on performance indicators.
- Establish objectives and goals and provide direction to the program and project teams in areas of customer concerns, potential scope changes, and risk assessment. Facilitate the implementation of program‑management processes at the site, business unit, or division.
- Manage effective customer communications. Provide overall program interface with the customer. Improve organizational responsiveness to customer requirements. Communicate and manage customer expectations and contractual commitments internal to the business.
- Ensure standard program‑management processes are utilized and provide adequate support to the program and project teams by coordinating program‑management reviews, preparing and publishing metrics and reports.
- Maintain performance metrics for the program for earned value, quality, technical performance, and delivery through all of the Eaton phase gates (PROLaunch) NPI/STP.
- Effectively manage program risks. Lead IPT teams to define project risks and proactively identify risk mitigation actions. Coordinate all risks and requirements of the program into a completely integrated entity. This is accomplished by planning, controlling, and integrating all projects into the programs, and measuring all elements to ensure the requirements and goals are successfully achieved.
- Manage customer contract, pricing, terms and conditions and contractual flow‑down through the organization. Establish and negotiate pricing strategies by system and/or product, market, and by customer. Develop contract negotiation strategies. Ensure effective change‑management processes are utilized.
- Provide monthly program updates of current situation relating to contractual milestones and problem/high‑risk areas (e.g., technical, cost, and schedule). Provide updates to the business units as well as divisional and group levels.
- Play a key role in developing new business proposals and executing the overall program plan.
- Provide overall program interface with the customer.
- Coordinate and monitor One Eaton Aerospace program personnel across multiple sites.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Three years of project management or product development experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
- All positions require use of information or access to hardware subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations. All applicants must be U.S. Persons within the meaning of ITAR.
- Five or more years of project management or product development experience.
