Overview
Join us in Jackson, TN as an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician. You’ll be a key part of maintaining our automated process and solving complex problems when they arise. This role operates on a swing shift with a rotating schedule including some weekends. The pay starts at $32.47 per hour with shift differential and our benefits available on Day 1.
Responsibilities- Maintaining Equipment and Amplifying your PLC Knowledge – Alternate between troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and on‑the‑spot machine repair.
- Analyzing Conditions and Providing Solutions – Identify and examine production equipment failures to understand root cause analysis, interpreting schematics and drawings. Investigate and repair electrical and mechanical systems such as pneumatics, hydraulics, DC circuits, drives and conveyors.
- Continuous Improvement – Make electrical improvements that impact results for the operating lines.
- Preventative Maintenance – Complete assigned preventative maintenance on your shift.
- Collaborate and Engage – Work with various departments across your site, including operations and support resources to deliver results that meet business needs.
- 2‑year technology degree in a related field (can be in the last semester), OR electrical experience, OR military experience in an advanced electronics field
- Ability to explain PLC (Rockwell), VFD, HMI (panel views), motor control systems including servos, instrumentation (process controls)
- Physically able to stand for long hours, lift up to 50 pounds, and work at various heights
- Ability to work all shifts on a rotating schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
- Ability to read and interpret basic electrical, electronic, and mechanical drawings, prints, schematics, and computer programs
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
