- Troubleshoot and support extrusion process and assist in resolving line problems. Acts as the subject matter expert (SME) of the extrusion process ensuring quality, yield, rate, regrind reuse, scrap and good pounds consumed standards are maintained. (70%)
- Assist in training with Operators, Area Leads, and Process Techs as well as participate in Kaizen events; lead line product/material line trials during shift and design of experiments (DOE) for process improvements. (15%)
- Prepare end of shift reports and data collection (down time, regrind use, scrap, color monitoring, thickness, etc.). (5%)
- Provide accurate and timely data collection information on each shift. (5%)
- Be the shift liaison by communicating key issues and ensuring resolution of all process‑related matters in production. (5%)
This position is on the Night Shift working from 6 PM to 6 AM on a rotating schedule 2/2/3. Must be able to work every other weekend as part of the rotational schedule.
Qualifications- High School Diploma, General Studies – Required
- Extrusion processing, blending knowledge – 3 to 5 years preferred
- Previous Area Lead (set up) experience – 3 to 5 years preferred
- Process Control and Data Collection – 3 to 5 years preferred
- Microsoft Office, SAP, QDMS, Factory+, CCA, etc. – Required;
Microsoft Excel preferred - Excellent written and verbal communication skills to all levels of the organization – Required
- Ability to communicate effectively with production personnel, give direction and positive feedback – Required
