About the Role:
Our client is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer / Operator to support both programming and machining operations within a growing manufacturing environment. This is a hands‑on role for a self‑sufficient individual who enjoys problem‑solving, continuous improvement, and helping build a more efficient, lights‑out machining operation.
The ideal candidate will have strong programming experience in both milling and turning environments, along with the ability to support setup verification, first‑piece inspections, and ongoing process improvements.
Key Responsibilities- Program Horizontal and Vertical Mills using Autodesk Fusion CAM
- Utilize advanced NC Cloud AI CAM Assist technology
- Program and support CNC turning operations using GibbsCAM
- Read, modify, troubleshoot, and optimize advanced G‑code and macro programs
- Utilize common variables and scheduled programming techniques
- Support machining process improvements and production efficiency initiatives
- Perform first‑piece inspections and ensure quality standards are met
- Verify dimensions using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring equipment
- Troubleshoot machining issues and support setup optimization
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and lights‑out manufacturing initiatives
- Collaborate with production leadership to improve throughput and machine utilization
- CNC programming experience in milling and turning environments
- Proficiency with Autodesk Fusion CAM
- Experience with GibbsCAM for turning operations
- Experience with Haas and Okuma controllers
- Strong understanding of GD&T
- Ability to read, modify, and troubleshoot advanced G‑code and macros
- Experience using precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges
- Self‑motivated with strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Experience with Common Variables and Schedule Programming
- Knowledge of Tombstone Management Systems (TMS) is a plus
- Continuous improvement mindset with a desire to help build lights‑out machining capabilities
- Monday – Thursday
- 5:00 AM – 3:45 PM
- 45‑minute unpaid lunch (11:45 AM – 12:30 PM)
- Fridays and Saturdays reserved for overtime as needed
- Typically provided with at least two days' notice
- Recent overtime has been limited due to operational efficiency improvements
