Machine Operator - Night Shift

Schedule:

Sunday - Thursday 6:00 pm - 6:00 am.

Machine Operator I will work with raw material to complete a mix formula, mix ingredients to complete the batch and package the material or palletize for shipping.

• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• Food manufacturing experience (preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, and write routine reports
• Ability to communicate effectively with fellow team members
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations in all units of measure
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
• Ability to solve problems in variable situations
• Must be able to work independently or with others
• Forklift certification desirable; ability to obtain certification
• Computer skills helpful

• Ensure product meets specifications, food safety, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain high performance standards in housekeeping per GMP, AIB, IFS, and HACCP
• Operate computer system accurately during production
• Operate auxiliary equipment as needed
• Operate safely per manual, training, and batch card instructions
• Use handheld barcode scanner to record raw materials and product, complete required paperwork, ensuring traceability before moving product to warehouse
• Follow SSOPs and GMP, including pre-start checks, scale checks, forklift checklist, label date and lot number verification
• Communicate any quality, safety, scheduling, or food safety issues to lead or supervisor
• Perform tasks following company GMPs, SOPs, and safety regulations
• Assist in training new team members
• Adhere to Food Defense and Security functions

• Must stand, walk, use hands to grasp, move, or utilize objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear frequently
• May need to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; frequently lift and/or move 50 pounds
• Vision: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, focus
• Temperature may fluctuate seasonally
• Working around heavy machinery; hearing protection required in production area

• Non-slip shoes
• Gloves
• Hair net
• Beard net (if needed)
• Safety goggles / safety ear protection
• Additional PPE may be required
