Opus Packaging is a premier packaging company and supplier of corrugated products. We are currently searching for 1st Shift Machine Assistant for our Jackson, MI location. As a Machine Assistant you will produce corrugated or chip packaging products in alignment with the company vision, mission, and core values.

Location:

Jackson, MI.

Schedule:

6:00am – 2:00pm, Monday to Friday. This is a full-time position.

• Understand machine set-up, machine runs, plant data entry, handwork, or assembly assignments.
• Bend, reach, stoop, squat and stand for the shift as required.
• Maintain good hand-eye coordination to perform tasks safely and efficiently.
• Assist with corrugated or chip packaging production as directed.

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedural documents.

• Previous experience in warehouse or packaging environment.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to properly use and understand measurement equipment including tape measures, micrometers, and other tools as required by specific jobs.
