Schedule:
6:00 PM – 6:00 AM, Rotating 2-2-3 Schedule

This position works a 12-hour overnight rotating 2-2-3 schedule:
Candidates must be able to consistently work 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM and the rotating weekend schedule.
Position OverviewWe are seeking Production Packers to join a fast-paced manufacturing operation in Jackson, MI. This is a hands-on production position responsible for inspecting, packing, labeling, and preparing finished products for movement to the warehouse.
Candidates with experience in manufacturing, production, packing, warehouse, assembly, material handling, or other physically active industrial environments are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities- Pack finished products according to established procedures and quality standards.
- Visually inspect finished products for color, appearance, and other potential defects.
- Notify the machine operator or area lead of product defects or production issues.
- Assist machine operators with production line setup.
- Assemble and glue packing boxes.
- Cut packing straps to the appropriate length.
- Monitor and replenish hot glue supplies as needed.
- Label and number finished product boxes.
- Load packed boxes onto skids and pallets.
- Secure skids using packing straps for movement to the warehouse.
- Perform production line housekeeping and maintain a clean work area.
- Assist with training other packers as needed.
- Follow all established safety, quality, and production procedures.
- Perform additional production duties as assigned.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, production, packing, warehouse, assembly, material handling, or general labor preferred.
- Ability to repeatedly lift and move materials weighing up to 60 pounds without assistance.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during a 12-hour shift.
- Ability to push, pull, lift, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, grip, and perform repetitive motions.
- Comfortable using basic hand tools, including a hacksaw.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment that may be noisy, dusty, and hot and may include exposure to manufacturing or chemical odors.
- Ability to visually inspect products and identify obvious defects.
- Dependable attendance and ability to work a rotating overnight schedule.
- Must follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
This is a physically active position within a manufacturing facility. Candidates should be comfortable working around production equipment and in an environment that can be noisy, dusty, and hot.
The position requires frequent lifting and movement throughout the shift, including handling materials weighing up to 60 pounds.
Schedule flexibility and reliable attendance are essential for this position.
