Travel RN Labor & Delivery
Location: Jackson, Michigan Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Nights

• Provide expert nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages, ensuring adherence to hospital policies and patient care plans.
• Assess patients regularly, develop tailored care plans, and adjust interventions based on their evolving needs.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to nursing team members while supervising their performance to ensure quality standards are maintained.
• Educate patients and their families on labor, delivery, postpartum care, and newborn care, fostering a supportive environment.
• Monitor fetal and maternal vital signs, identify signs of complications, and intervene promptly.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, anesthesiologists, and other members of the healthcare team to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately and timely.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and problem-solving efforts to enhance patient outcomes and unit efficiency.

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse with the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification;
  Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification;
  Advanced EFM Certification (AWHONN)
• Strong clinical knowledge of labor and delivery protocols and medical procedures.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to connect empathetically with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Analytical skills to develop effective care plans and respond to emergent situations promptly.

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher.
• Previous experience in a Labor & Delivery or obstetric setting.
• Additional certifications relevant to obstetric nursing are a plus.
