Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
Unit-based contingent that reports directly to the Unit Manager/Unit Director.
Required
Hours:
36 hours per 6-week schedule.
Holiday: 1 summer / 1 winter.
Hard to Fill Days: 1 annually.
Shift of greatest need.
Education / Experience Required- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program within 3 years of hire.
- Completion of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within 5 years of hire.
Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
