Nursing Assistant - Med/Surg - Joint Replacement - Full Time - Nights - Jackson, MI

Under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse (RN), performs specific patient care duties to meet the safety and comfort needs of the patient. Provides input to assist the RN in planning and implementing patient care. Responds to emergent situations according to established procedures. Recognizes and participates in ongoing education.

• Take vitals
• Perform venipuncture and use chem sticks
• Participate in team rounding
• Identify concerns related to patients, staff, and self, and communicate with the responsible RN

• Orthopedic Joint Replacement, Bariatric, Surgical Unit – 3 wings with a total of 36 beds

6:00 PM – 6:30 AM (Night shift)

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (or equivalent titles)
• Currently enrolled in a nursing program and have successfully completed the Fundamentals of Nursing course
• Foreign‑trained and licensed RN who has relocated to the US and does not hold a Michigan RN license
• Medical assistant program with or without experience
• At least one year of previous experience in an NA, PCT, PAT, or similar role
