System Float ICU RN – Jackson

Contingent – 72 hours per month, midnights shifts available.

Under general supervision, this float RN demonstrates ability to handle nursing problems and perform nursing interventions across a variety of situations, identifying patient problems prior to explicit changes in patient‑specific data collection such as vital signs.

Best Choice/MISS is a system‑wide contingent float pool that offers an RN the chance to work in a variety of settings throughout Henry Ford Health. The program provides flexibility and minimal commitment, allowing nurses to float to locations where staffing needs arise.

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
• Two to three years of recent related clinical nursing experience in the area of practice, with demonstrated performance.
• Willingness to float to multiple locations.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Effective communication with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Current ACLS, NRP, EFM, ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS where required.
