Schedule:

3-12 Hour Shifts from 6:30p-7a;
Weekend and holiday requirement

Preferred Experience:

1-2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience preferred or more than 2 years post-partum experience.

Henry Ford Jackson Hospital is a 420-bed, Magnet® designated, Level II Trauma Center. Acute care services are complemented by more than 40 community-based outpatient service locations. We are proud to provide a broad range of specialty services, from cardiac surgery and minimally invasive structural heart procedures to neurosurgery, plastic surgery, and total joint replacement. We also offer full home health care and hospice services.

General

Summary:

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Education/Experience

Required:

· BSN preferred. If ADN, must be willing to enroll in an accredited school of nursing within 3 years of start date, obtain your BSN within 5 years of start date.

· Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

· Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.

· Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.

· Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Certifications/Licensures

Required:

· Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.

· Health care provider certification (BCLS).
