Field Store Associate

Job Description

The Field Store Associate will be primarily responsible for driving and increasing sales at Lowe’s stores. This position engages customers in the Paint and Pro departments, generates customer leads, implements effective sales and marketing programs, provides exceptional customer service, and manages merchandising.

• Drive sales growth and achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
• Engage customers in the Paint and Pro departments to generate leads.
• Deliver excellent sales service and maintain high customer satisfaction.
• Assist customers in person by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services.
• Build productive relationships and trust with wholesale and retail customers.
• Maintain Pro customer color files and tint/mix products to customer specifications.
• Maintain store appearance, color wall, and back stock, following inventory best practices.
• Provide in‑store Pro Desk paint support for real‑time customer needs, Lowe’s Pro Sales, and paint program execution, including in‑store promotional events.
• Promote and represent Sherwin‑Williams and Valspar brand standards to Lowe’s associates, customers, and contractors.
• Train Lowe’s associates on product knowledge, application methods, and complete eLearning modules.
• Ensure HR Cloud trainings are up to date and within compliance.
• Work with sales representatives to generate leads by interacting with customers.
• Facilitate in‑person customer connectivity between paint and pro desk.
• Adhere to company policies regarding minors, confidential data, and criminal background checks.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for an employment work visa now or in the future.
• Capable of retrieving material from shelves and floor stacks and lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED.
• At least one (1) year of experience in a delivery, retail, or customer service position.
• Experience selling paint and paint‑related products.
• Experience operating tinting and mixing equipment.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language, including Spanish.
