• Operate various pieces of equipment accurately, efficiently and safely as directed.
• Clean up around the plant and surrounding area.
• Lubricate and perform general maintenance on equipment.
• Follow directions and work as part of a team.
• Actively participate in weekly safety meetings (Tool Box Talks).
• Display a professional and courteous attitude to co‑workers, supervisors, and the public at all times.
• Willingness to travel and work away from home when required.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends when necessary.
• Report to the assigned job site in proper work attire ready to begin at the designated start time.
• Strict adherence to all Safety Practices & Procedures and company policies.
• Assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required in a team environment.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Previous experience helping operate or working around heavy equipment.

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment screening and testing.
• Strict adherence to safety requirements, procedures and PPE policies.

The following physical demands are representative of those required to perform the essential functions of this job in Construction/Materials Operations.

• Reading and interpreting safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and communicate effectively.
• Ability to perform arithmetic operations and interpret graphs as needed.
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret various instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Color, close, and distance vision; depth perception and focus.
• Work may require climbing ladders, scaffolds, and stairs; walking, standing, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling and lifting up to 50 lbs without assistance.
• Ability to operate equipment under extreme temperatures and for extended hours.
• Flexible schedule based on project needs.

• Work is performed outdoors at job sites in extreme weather conditions and for extended hours.
• Exposure to noise, dirt, grease, and dust common to construction projects.
• Regular proximity to heavy equipment and moving machinery.
• Presence of substances or materials commonly found on construction sites (oil, grease, curing compounds, gasoline, diesel fuel, asphalt, concrete).
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, uneven surfaces, and varying weather conditions; potential exposure to airborne particles and extreme temperatures.
• Occasional exposure to vibration; protective equipment may be required.
