Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician

Location: 1100 Technology Dr, Jackson, MI 49201 (100% onsite)

Shift Timings: 6:00am to 2:30pm; M-F

Note: This position has the potential to work at heights for a short duration.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in the maintenance field required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and fabrication preferred.
• Ability to work with hand tools and power tools required.
• Willingness to learn and perform pipe fitting and welding required.
• Basic understanding of HVAC, plumbing, metal fabrication, and electrical preferred.
• Ability to work weekends and overtime required.

• Understand and comply with facility safety rules and regulations.
• Work in a chemical hazardous area with appropriate PPE.
• Install, maintain and repair industrial equipment such as liquid pumps, centrifugal pumps, gears, air motors, valves, actuators, conveyors, and other building utilities (HVAC, boilers, air compressors, etc.).
• Fabricate equipment, with or without provided drawing (metal welding, TIG, MIG, stick, metal cutting, plasma, angle grinder).
• Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions—visual inspections, listening for irregular noises, and conducting scheduled testing as appropriate.
• Identify and respond to signs of malfunction in machinery and perform troubleshooting for production machinery.
• Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance and service for each piece of equipment.
• Perform emergency repairs on various types of machinery, including mechanical, electric and hydraulic.
• Maintain machinery and adjacent workplace in appropriate cleanliness; create and maintain a schedule for inspection, service and testing of machinery.
• Comply with work orders concerning service, modification or installation of machinery.
