Plumber (Plumber 10) – Charles Egeler Reception and Guidance Center
Install, maintain, and repair plumbing, mechanical, and heating systems and equipment at the Charles Egeler Reception and Guidance Center. Ensure compliance with all State and Federal regulations and codes. Supervise and train prisoner work crews to assist in plumbing duties.
EducationHigh school completion or equivalent.
Work Experience- Five years of plumbing trade experience, including at least one year as a Plumber E9.
- Alternate:
Completion of a vocational training program in plumbing at commercial or industrial level, plus two years assisting skilled trade workers.
- Possession of a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) may be required for certain duties.
- Possession of a journey plumber’s license issued by the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth may be required.
Applicants with felony convictions may be screened out per Public Act 191 of 2017. Applicants convicted of misdemeanors or felonies are ineligible until completion of sentence. All employees must uphold ethical standards and report conflicts of interest as required.
