This role is responsible for installing, inspecting, and repairing industrial equipment, with a strong focus on mechanical maintenance. You will report to a central home office, review daily assignments with leadership, travel in a company vehicle to customer plants, and perform a wide range of mechanical maintenance tasks on-site. The position offers exposure to diverse equipment and facilities, providing variety in day-to-day work and the opportunity to develop broad technical experience.
Responsibilities- Report to the home office at the start of each day and participate in a brief meeting to review the work schedule and assignments.
- Travel in a company truck, often with a coworker, to various customer plants within the service area.
- Perform mechanical maintenance on industrial equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
- Install industrial machinery and mechanical equipment using layouts, blueprints, and schematics.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings to plan and execute work accurately.
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble, disassemble, adjust, and repair equipment.
- Troubleshoot machinery to identify mechanical issues and determine appropriate repairs.
- Perform fabrication work, including MIG or stick welding, to repair or create parts as needed.
- Carry out preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Work on-site on equipment such as furnaces, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, motors and chain drives, and conveyor systems.
- Collaborate with other millwrights and plant personnel to complete projects safely and efficiently.
- Work independently when required, managing time and tasks to meet deadlines and customer expectations.
- Lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds frequently as part of daily duties.
- Participate in on-call rotation, responding to after-hours or weekend service needs as assigned.
- At least 2 years of experience in a mechanical maintenance role such as millwright, welder/fabricator, or maintenance technician.
- Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings.
- Ability to weld using MIG or stick processes for repair and fabrication work.
- Experience with mechanical maintenance on industrial equipment, including furnaces, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, chains, and conveyor systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing mechanical issues on industrial machinery.
- Capability to perform fabrication tasks, including cutting, fitting, and assembling metal components.
- Competent use of hand tools and power tools for installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision.
- Ownership of basic hand tools required to perform daily millwright tasks.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and perform hands-on mechanical work in an industrial setting.
- Willingness to work some weekends, be part of an on-call rotation, and work holidays as needed.

Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $58240.00/yr.
