Are you passionate about supporting children and families within the foster care system? Join our team as a Foster Care Case Manager and make a lasting difference in the lives of youth by providing stability, advocacy, and compassionate support.

In this role, you’ll manage your own caseload, work closely with families and community partners, and play a critical role in helping children find safe and supportive environments.

What You’ll Do Case Management & Client Support
  • Manage a caseload of foster care cases, providing ongoing support and advocacy
  • Build relationships with children, caregivers, and families to support stability and well-being
  • Offer guidance, referrals, and mentoring to those involved in each case
Placement Coordination & Court Involvement
  • Coordinate initial placements and any necessary changes in placement
  • Prepare for and attend court hearings, providing updates and documentation
  • Support children and caregivers through transitions with hands-on involvement
Collaboration & Communication
  • Partner with referral sources, courts, agencies, and community organizations
  • Maintain consistent communication with all stakeholders involved in each case
  • Advocate for appropriate services and support systems
Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate and timely case records, reports, and required documentation
  • Track client progress and ensure compliance with all program and regulatory standards
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related human services field required
  • State of Michigan licensure preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience in child welfare preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently while managing a dynamic caseload
Additional Requirements
  • Valid, unrestricted driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Reliable personal transportation and current automobile insurance
  • Willingness to participate in a 24-hour on‑call support system as needed
