Job Title & Location

Job Title: Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver – Awake Overnight

Location: GH 12 – Jackson, NJ 08527

Type: Part‑time, Awake Overnight Shift

Salary: $20.75 per hour ($22.75 per hour on weekends)

Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living—including administering medication, preparing meals, personal hygiene, and transportation to medical appointments.
  • Support the implementation of individualized behavioral plans and teach new skills using effective teaching and mentoring techniques.
  • Encourage residents’ interests and facilitate community outings and recreational activities.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date documentation and report any concerns related to health and safety.
  • Promote an environment of dignity and respect for all residents.
Work Schedule
  • Sunday 11pm – 8am
  • Friday 11pm – 9am
  • Saturday 11pm – 8am

Additional shift options available: 7am – 3pm, 3pm – 11pm, and 11pm – 9am.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Ability to pass criminal/registry background checks and a drug screen
  • Clear tuberculosis (TB) screening
  • Ability to pass and maintain required trainings such as CPR/first aid, medication administration, and positive behavioral support training
  • Basic computer skills

Experience working with individuals who have intellectual and/or developmental disabilities is preferred, but not required. Candidates must be compassionate, possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, remain calm and professional in challenging situations, and desire to make a difference.
