Our truck driver position description is:

We examine contents and compare them with records, such as manifests, work tickets, or orders to verify the accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipments.

• Record shipment data electronically such as trip mileage, trip hours, weight over axles, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting and record-keeping purposes.
• Determine shipping procedures regarding DOT rules and regulations, weight over axles, etc.
• Confer and correspond with company representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and non-conformances to specifications.
• Require current CDL license
• Air brake experience necessary
• Forklift truck proficiency to help with loading/unloading in-house when necessary. Moving customer s parts to and from our offsite warehouse may also be required.
• Additional duties include: keeping the exterior of the truck clean; and keeping the truck interior (both the cab and trailer) clean, free of debris, garbage, and spilled parts. Apply oil absorbent to the trailer floor if oily.
