The State of Mississippi is offering a full-time position with a salary range of $51,500.00 to $54,990.94 annually. The job is located in Hinds County, MS.

The Department of Revenue is the primary agency for collecting tax revenues that support state and local governments in Mississippi.

Responsibilities include understanding applicable laws to assist taxpayers, conducting research to verify account balances and issue refunds, analyzing and documenting reports, compiling monthly statistics, reviewing reports for discrepancies, processing sales tax refund requests, and assisting taxpayers with payments, returns, applications, and general sales tax information.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree and 0-2 years of experience. Preferred coursework includes Principles of Accounting I and II, Intermediate Accounting I and II, Federal Income Tax, and Auditing.
