The State of Mississippi is looking for a staff accountant in the Water and Wastewater Division. The successful candidate will support the Division Director by reviewing utility and rate case filings. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business is mandatory, along with proficiency in Excel and the ability to verify entries.
Prior accounting experience is preferred along with a solid understanding of financial statements. This position is strictly for accountants, requiring two years of full-time work experience, although it does not need to be in accounting.
