Manufacturing Controller | Rebuild Accounting Function

This $25M manufacturing company is going through massive growth and needs to establish the accounting infrastructure that a scaling business needs. To bring the function up to speed, they need a Controller to take full ownership of its accounting function, clean up inconsistent processes, and create strong processes that will grow with the business. With strong operational leaders in place, the business has grown rapidly - more than doubling revenue year over year, with a long-range target well above where it sits today.

What You Will Own

• Month-end close and reporting (on-time and accurate)
• Job-level margin reporting by category (material, freight, engineering)
• Project-based job costing, including labor applied to WIP
• Inventory and WIP accuracy
• A team of four covering AP, AR, purchasing, and inventory control
• Multi-state sales tax compliance and resale certificate management

What You'll Need

• Owned a full accounting function end to end, including close and reporting
• Manufacturing background with hands-on job costing experience
• Experiencing revamping a broken accounting function (and lived to tell the tale)
• Worked in a high-growth company under $100M in revenue
• Built processes and SOPs and held a team accountable to them
• Experience with multi-state sales tax
• Experience with manufacturing or ERP systems built for job-based businesses
• Taken a company through a PE transaction, due diligence or exit prep
