The Mississippi Administrative Office of Courts assists in the efficient administration of the nonjudicial business of the State's court system. AOC’s responsibilities include assisting the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court with his duties as the chief administrative officer of all of the courts of the state; collecting case statistics from all civil, criminal and youth courts in the state; coordinating and conducting studies and projects to improve the administration of justice;
requiring the filing of reports and the collection and compilation of statistical data and financial information; making recommendations regarding the state of the dockets and the effective number of judges and other court personnel; prescribing uniform administrative and business records, forms, systems and records; devising and promulgating youth court tracking forms; preparing and submitting budget recommendations necessary for the maintenance and operation of the judicial system;
developing and implementing personnel policies for nonjudicial court employees; procuring, distributing, exchanging, transferring and assigning equipment, books, forms and supplies as are acquired for the court system; making recommendations for the improvement of the operations of the judicial system; preparing and submitting an annual report on the work of the judicial system; taking necessary steps in the collection of unpaid fines and court costs;
and performing any additional administrative duties as assigned by the Supreme Court.
- Schedule meetings and maintain calendars.
- Prepare forms, manage documents, and prepare reports.
- Monitor and ensure each youth court’s compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
- Process monthly youth court reports within established deadlines and provide monthly updates to the Director of Youth Court.
- Manage the preparation and maintenance of records, reports, and statements for the youth courts.
- Make telephone contacts, compose and review correspondence, obtain and present information.
- Set up and maintain files and records; type briefs and other legal documents; and perform related duties.
This position requires effective communication, the ability to prioritize tasks, teamwork, adaptability, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications- Typically requires a High School Diploma or high school equivalency and 2-4 years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or high school equivalency and two (2) to four (4) years of experience with court related programs and/or monthly report collection and analysis preferred.
