Role and Responsibilities:
As an Administrative Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in analyzing, classifying, and finalizing all applications that are within non-medical retention limits. The AU provides support to agents through the application process and contract delivery.
The qualifications are:
- Associate's degree and three years of comparable work experience (i.e. business or customer service related) OR five years of customer related experience (a combination of college education and work experience totaling five years)
- Basic knowledge of new business/underwriting operations preferred
- Basic knowledge of SFB products preferred
- Basic typing skills (25 wpm)
- Basic use of Microsoft Word
- Ability to use sound reasoning and judgment to make quick decisions
- Good communication skills, both oral and written
- Good multi-tasking abilities
- Good analytical skills with attention to detail
The role responsibilities are:
- Verify and enforce all company and state rules and regulations that pertain to processing and finalizing life and annuity products
- Determine the accuracy of the client record and policy record, and process requests for additional information needed to update these records for all new life and annuity applications.
- Evaluate non-medical applications.
- Complete the issue process on all applications
