Job Summary:

To provide high-level administrative support for Senior Management, Assistant Vice Chancellors, Associate Vice Chancellors and Executives. To work collaboratively with other members of the department to proactively address organizational needs. To communicate with high-level management.

Education & Experience:

Degree (Associate or Bachelor) with four (4) years of administrative support experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Reads and analyzes incoming correspondence and reports to determine their significance and plan their distribution. Responds to incoming correspondence.
  • Compiles and analyzes various types of complex information for inclusion in reports and/or presentations using graphical software, spreadsheets, and/or presentation software.
  • Answers telephones and resolves complex caller needs within broadly‑defined guidelines and without managerial oversight.
  • Supervises departmental clerical staff and ensures completion of assigned tasks.
  • Works directly with senior management on special projects.
  • Prepares agendas and makes arrangements to include food service, room scheduling and materials preparation.

Physical and Environmental Demands:

Requires occasional working hours significantly beyond regularly scheduled hours, occasional activities subject to significant volume changes of a seasonal/clinical nature, occasional bending, occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, occasional crouching/stooping, occasional driving, occasional kneeling, occasional pushing/pulling, occasional reaching, constant sitting, frequent standing, occasional twisting, and frequent walking.
