Position Overview

Job Location:

ALM-Divisional HQ – Jackson, MS 39202. Position Type:
Full Time Regular. Salary Range: $18.50 - $18.50 hourly. Job Category:

Schedule:

Monday – Thursday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (60 biweekly hours).

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and/or types a wide variety of professional-level paperwork, including confidential, complex, or technical material with limited supervision; updates monthly production reports.
  • Receives data for each marketing campaign; compiles and records necessary information and statistics; generates reports and distributes them; tracks program development information and progress; processes correspondence and special documents; ensures campaigns are administered in accordance with Salvation Army policies and procedures.

Donor Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the expert in the Territorial Constituent Relationship Management database for offline and online fundraising; monitors and updates donor records; trains local users in group and individual settings.
  • Monitors, tracks, and researches donation activity in established donor databases; ensures data transitions appropriately between systems and makes manual adjustments when necessary; reconciles databases with finance records.
  • Acts as the point of contact for donors who have questions regarding their donation; updates the donor management system; coordinates with the Divisional Finance Department to ensure proper disbursement of credit card donations; collaborates with Territorial counterparts to ensure accurate credit card charges and refunds.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Ability to meet attendance requirements; ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Limited physical effort: walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (< 25 lbs.) 5‑10% of work time.
  • Tasks primarily performed seated; may include brief or occasional periods of standing or walking.
  • Occasional driving required.
  • Work performed in a normal office environment with minimal physical discomforts.
  • Driving required may involve heavy traffic or weather changes.

Qualifications
  • Two-year degree or college coursework, supplemented by secretarial courses from a technical or vocational school preferred.
  • Or four years experience operating/maintaining a donor management system or similar database system, or performing advanced-level and/or executive-level administrative work in a high-volume office involving database systems.
  • Or any equivalent combination of training and experience providing the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Valid State Driver’s License.
