Job Title: Business Services Coordinator-Institutional Operations
Job Summary: Supports UMMC’s clinical mission by assisting with basic business improvement projects in clinical and operational areas. Helps gather, organize, and analyze data to support informed decision-making and process improvements. Works under the supervision of senior staff to support project planning, reporting, and workflow evaluations.
Education & ExperienceEducation And Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree
- N/A
- Prior work experience in business operations or healthcare setting
- Basic understanding of data collection and business processes. Ability to learn and apply analytical tools to support projects. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks. Comfortable working collaboratively in a team environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Assist with gathering and organizing data for operational and business performance reviews.
- Support senior analysts in preparing basic reports, summaries, and presentations.
- Help maintain tracking systems and dashboards related to project or departmental metrics.
- Participate in planning meetings to take notes and contribute to follow-up tasks.
- Assist in developing visualizations or templates for business reporting tools.
- Provide basic research support to benchmark internal processes against industry standards.
- Help monitor timelines and deliverables for small-scale improvement initiatives.
- Support the preparation of documentation for budgets, project charters, and policy drafts.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support business planning or operational improvement.
