Government Truck Sales

Responsibilities

• Analyzing requests for purchase (RFP) and bid proposals on behalf of municipalities
• Establishing new accounts
• Maintaining existing accounts
• Developing excellent relationships with state/local government officials
• Comfortable attending County Board/City Council Meetings
• Creating and developing company spreadsheets for management
• Maintaining a strong knowledge of our products and services to inform customers
• Performing other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Trustworthy, reliable, and professional with a personable and positive outlook
• Proven ability to sustain self-motivation
• A high degree of business acumen
• Minimum of 3 years of outside sales experience with a proven record of success in building and managing relationships
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Must be computer savvy and proficient with Microsoft Office products
• Exceptional communication skills
• CDL preferred, but not required
• Knowledge of heavy duty trucking industry preferred but not required
• Experience with state government purchasing or sales expertise is preferred but not required
• Must be willing to travel
• Current Valid Driver’s License
• Good Driving Record
• Must be able to adapt to constantly changing priorities
