This is not a corporate, remote or office-based position. It is a full‑time, entry‑level role located within one of Amazon’s fulfillment centers, sort centers, delivery stations or other operational buildings. Amazon seeks customer‑focused individuals to lead a team of hourly associates across our Operations network. The warehouse environment is fast paced, requiring standing, walking, and on‑floor communication.
As an Area Manager, you will engage, lead, and develop your team in a warehouse setting. Your main focus will be motivating, mentoring, and managing team members to achieve goals. Amazon provides extensive training and development for people leaders. You will ensure that your team has the tools needed for safety, quality, attendance, and performance insights.

Key job responsibilities- Support, mentor, and motivate 50‑100 direct reports (Amazon associates)
- Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment
- Stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours
- Work shift patterns that include nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Most shifts follow a fixed 4‑day work week with 3 days off.
- Oversee truck deliveries, handling, and sorting of packages using pallet jacks; operate PIT equipment (where applicable) and assist as needed.
- Work in an environment with varying noise levels
- Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
- Climb and descend stairs (when applicable)
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree with all requirements completed between May 2024 and August 2026 (you must have all degree requirements met before your first day).
- Strong communication skills — both verbal and written
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Currently enrolled in or graduated with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering, or another related field.

The base salary range for this position is listed above. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), and may be adjusted based on experience, qualifications, and location.
