The Training Coordinator is responsible for executing all aspects of the training and development program and its associated processes, programs, and products for the NSS contract.
ResponsibilitiesEssential
Job Duties:
- Maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring safety remains the highest priority.
- Comply with Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals and provide information and materials as needed for documentation purposes.
- Manage, conduct, and coordinate training assignments for the NSS contract at MAF/SSC.
- Conduct training needs assessments and surveys.
- Plan and coordinate personnel training and staff development programs, including leadership, supervisory, and technical training.
- Maximize skills and training expertise to ensure cost-effective delivery of training.
- Track training programs and course completions for both technical and nontechnical subjects.
- Ensure all required and compliance training is completed on time.
- Assist managers and supervisors in identifying training requirements and resources.
- Maintain the Training Database and Individual Training Records (Certrak/SATERN/QCARD).
- Coordinate, implement, and monitor customer-required training.
- Develop, update, and maintain processes and procedures related to training.
- Prepare training materials, slides, handouts, and other resources for dissemination.
- Stay current on new technical innovations in the training environment.
- Utilize software programs, spreadsheets, databases, and multimedia equipment for effective training delivery.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Mandatory:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Three years of work experience with an emphasis on training.
- Knowledge of principles and processes involved in supporting ESH training.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen in order to obtain required NASA badge.
- Must be able to provide a certified Birth Certificate (with state seal), Passport, or INS Citizenship documents on date of hire (candidate will be sent home if this paperwork is not provided upon arrival on date of hire).
- Must have the ability to communicate the English language, both verbally and written, in an effective manner.
- Must have, and maintain, a valid driver’s license.
