The project manager is responsible for organizing and overseeing construction procedures and ensuring they are completed in a timely and efficient manner. An excellent Project Manager must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills.

The goal will be to ensure all projects are delivered on time according to requirements and without exceeding the budget.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion
  • Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
  • Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
  • Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory
  • Orders and schedules delivery of materials
  • Meet contractual conditions of performance
  • Review the work progress on daily basis
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
  • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging issues.
  • Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses
  • Meet with contractors/subcontractors to ensure effective communication throughout the entire project.
  • Analyze, manage and mitigate risks
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, or equivalent work experience (preferred)
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Minimum of 3+ years working in a construction project manager role or equivalent. (required)

  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
  • Understanding of all facets of the construction process
  • Ability to plan and see the “big picture”
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management
  • Leadership and human resources management skills
  • Excellent time and project management skills
