Job Description
As a Relationship Banker I, you will provide an exceptional customer experience on the cash line and over the phone, and help improve the financial wellness of our customers. You will build meaningful personal connections with customers while processing transactions, identifying ways to meet their needs, and resolving end‑to‑end customer service inquiries.
This role is an exciting opportunity for candidates with teller, limited banking, or retail sales experience who want to start a career with growth and upward mobility.
Primary Responsibilities- Provide a consistent optimal customer experience on the cash line while handling deposits, withdrawals, payments and other teller transactions.
- Answer customer inquiries about products and services and fulfill basic servicing requests such as card replacements, information changes, PIN resets, check reordering and basic problem resolution.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, staying informed about their banking relationships.
- Educate customers about standard consumer products and digital solutions such as mobile, online and ATM offerings.
- Assist branch and team members with basic tasks to aid in customer problem resolution.
- Refer customers to internal experts when more complex financial goals and needs are identified.
- Follow all bank processes and procedures, adhere to applicable laws and regulations, and manage operational risks per the Branch Manager’s guidance.
- Achieve branch targets and goals by identifying customer needs and recommending Regions’ solutions.
- Conduct outbound phone calls using lead lists to educate customers on emerging technology and help with their financial needs.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Availability to work Saturdays as needed.
- Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions.
- Strong communication skills in person, on the phone, and via electronic channels.
- Computer proficiency including typing and sustained screen focus.
- Physical ability to walk, stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 pounds.
- One (1) year of banking, cash‑handling, and/or customer service experience.
- Adherence to policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Assistance with digital banking offerings.
- Handling multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Overseeing large sums of cash.
- Strong customer focus and relationship‑building skills.
Pay ranges are job specific and are referenced as point‑of‑market guidance. Other factors that influence pay include experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and performance.
Job Range Target:
- Minimum: $34,056.95 USD
- Median: $40,316.80 USD
Incentive Pay Plans:
Eligible to participate in a formulaic incentive plan based on performance against metrics and goals.
