Position Summary
The Dean of the Jackson Campus is responsible for the overall operation of the Jackson
Campus including planning, oversight, supervision and coordination of course and program
offerings, activities, and facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Implement plans to develop the comprehensive educational infrastructure in Teton County needed to achieve quality education opportunities for the community.
* Build cooperative relationships with local and regional organizations to achieve quality educational opportunities for the Teton County area.
* Develop the Jackson campus budget and ensure that operations are within budget and required financial processes are followed.
* Collaborates with Academic Deans to coordinate course offerings, activities, events, and facilities for the Jackson Campus, including staffing credit courses in cooperation with the Dean of the appropriate discipline, supporting on site instructional staff, and assisting academic divisions with preparation of the semester course schedule.
* Oversees student registration and assists students with accessing additional student services from the main campus as necessary.
* Oversees preparation of employment documents for staff as required, including hiring authorizations, credential packets, employment forms, etc.
* Provides oversight of the Jackson Campus, including the development and implementation of strategic planning goals, development and management of the campus annual plans and budgets.
* Maintains communication and creates visible and accessible links between the Jackson campus and the Jackson community, including serving as a community liaison, working with local advisory boards, and supporting workforce development efforts.
* Actively collaborates with the CWC Foundation and the Director of Development.
* Completes routine assessment of local and regional data regarding potential new academic programs, researches viability of potential new programs including budget requirements, and supports new program and project start-up activities under the guidance and support of the VPAA and in conjunction with the Academic Deans program faculty. Identifies funding sources for new program start-ups.
* Assists department coordinators and program faculty to ensure all curriculum proposals, including new/revised courses and new/revised programs, follow the college's established curriculum approval process.
* Supervises campus staff including assisting in employee/adjunct recruitment and development of orientation and onboarding activities, conducting periodic performance evaluations, serving as a liaison between VPAA and faculty and staff.
* Oversees student recruitment, advisement, and progress including leading and monitoring scholarship award process, and maintaining current records.
* Collaborate with the Dean of Students on the management of non-academic student disciplinary situations including investigations, documentation, consequences, and follow-up as required.
* Works in cooperation with College administrators, directors, programs and services in furthering the College mission and vision, and Strategic Plan. Actively participates in Strategic Planning for academics at all CWC locations.
* Actively participates in the institution's Accreditation process and reporting requirements.
* Assists with coordination of divisional, concurrent enrollment and dual credit course offerings with area high schools and the Teton County Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES).
* Operate within the framework established by CWC's policies, procedures, and practices, and perform other reasonably related duties as directed or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
* Master's degree in a directly related discipline from an accredited institution of higher learning recognized by the US Department of Education.
Experience
* Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in leading or managing an academic department or division in the higher education or related industry is required. Instructional experience in the community college setting is preferred.

* Equivalent combinations of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
