Professional Development Assistant
The College of Education/School of Lifelong Learning invites applications for a position as the Professional Development Assistant.
Responsible for supporting the Center for Professional Development staff with facilitating non-credit program planning, development and dissemination of reports through Microsoft Excel, marketing and training materials.
Helps to prepare training materials, collect data and prepare for the delivery of food services for meetings, conferences, trainings and other events.
Provides information to potential participants regarding training activities and program schedules and benefits via phone, email, as well as, prepare and mail training certificates.
Expected to maintain a cooperative working relationship with public and private organizations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
An Associate's Degree (or 2-years of college) is required; a minimum of 4-years of relevant work experience in adult education and/or professional training (workforce development) context.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, time-management, and collaboration skills are essential for this position.
Applicant must be willing to travel statewide and work evenings and some weekends as needed.
Must have or be eligible for a valid Mississippi Driver License and is able to qualify for a university driving permit.
Applicants with strong technological skills and creative ideas on how to enhance learning and professional training opportunities are particularly desired.
